After by Francine Prose A brief summary about this book is that some shooting happened in this highschool name Pleasant Valley and this other school is close by Central highschool and a new principal is giving new rules so that students could be safe. He is so strict that he is sending students to rehab camps. This principle does to many things to parents brains. A big disaster happenes that the students move from the state. I recommend that you should read this book because it caps your attention just by reading the first page about shooting. This book has a nomination already for intersting it is and if I had to give a 1-10 I would give it a 10 because it is a good book that you wouldn’t like to stop reading .

I really want to recommend Suck It Up by Brian Meehl. This book is about a vampire kid, Morning McCobb, that isn’t really what one would expect about a vampire. He is awkward and very skinny and he doesn’t even drink blood. He drinks a blood substitute and he doesn’t like to be like everyone else. He goes to the International Vampire League, a.k.a. the IV League and when he graduates, the principal of the school asks him to be kind of like his lab rat. He wants him to come out to the world as a vampire. At first, he’s afraid but later he decides to do it anyway. He goes through bumps on the way to “coming out”. Sometimes he gets over them, other times he doesn’t. Also, there are two groups of vampires, blood suckers and culture suckers. The IV Leaguers are culture suckers meaning that they feed off of human culture and the other is pretty obvious. The blood suckers have “Commandments” that the IV Leaguers do not go by. Blood suckers want to remain hidden and when they find out that Morning is coming out to the world, they want to kill him. However, there is a pact that they made with each other not to war with either group. But still, there is a blood sucker that desperately wants to kill him but he gets stuck in a serious problem. He also meets a girl, Portia. She’s the daughter of the Public Relations Manager that the school principal got Morning to help him come out to the world. Portia and morning butt heads at first, but then they start to understand each other. Suck It Up is a funny, suspenseful, and just everything book. It’s fun to read it. You won’t want to put the book down. It’s a definite page-turner. This book is not your average vampire book, but you’ll have to read it to find out what really happens.
-Vanessa Parada Hello my name is Zachary Trail, I read a very interesting book named Drive-by. This book is based on real life story. A boy named Jimmy in this book gets shot by gang members. The gang is in a car. Jimmy’s brother and sister were hiding behind a tree when Jimmy was shot by the gang in the car. Jimmy’s neighbors went to his funeral. Neighbors brought food for the family. This took place in Los Angeles CA. This book is good to read because drive-by happens different areas at night. I recommend this book because it reflects the suffering of families when a family member gets murdered by a gang.
-Zachary Trail Unwind is one of the books that I enjoyed reading the most. It was one of the longest book I have ever finish reading. It was written by Neal Shusterman and it’s about a new way for parents to give their unwanted children away. Unwinding is when unwanted children are given away to special places where they take children apart and use all parts for transplants. The only condition about this crazy practice is that children are supposed to be kept alive during the entire process. The main characters are three guys that are to be “unwind”. Connor is the trouble maker that doesn’t like school and is always getting into trouble which makes his parents decide to unwind him and so stop all the trouble he causes at school and home. Lev is a kid that was destined to be unwind because of his religion and at first he is ok with it until he finds Connor who kidnaps him to save him from being unwinded but Nail doesn’t like it because he thought it was his destiny to give his body parts to people that needed them. And Risa is a girl who lived in a state home and was being unwind to leave more space for new incoming kids, she finds Connor and Lev in her way to the place where she is going to be unwinded and escapes along with the other two kind on a race to save their lives and until they turn 18. The book is great and I would recommend it to anyone that is interested in fiction books and that has the time to read it. I have read about 100 books during my life and so far it is the best one.
-Daniel Sanchez As a teenager who doesn’t enjoy reading much I found The Demonata Series by: Darren Shan very interesting and intimidating. This awesome series contains 10 books, my favorite being Slawter. To describe this book with one word would be almost impossible. It is an Amazing, Funny, Disgusting (in a good way) and as J.K Rowling, author of the all time favorite Harry Potter Series, commented “ It will leave the reader hungry for more.’ This book is about a boy named “Grubbs”, whose parents were tragically murdered and tormented by a demon lord named, “Lord Loss” there family has been cursed with a very bizarre and tormenting curse, which causes the Grady family to turn into werewolves in there teenage years with no control of their “inner beast”. The only person who has the cure is Lord Loss, and him being a demon he has no reason or care for them, but he does have a “passion” for chess. The Grady’s found out and decided to use it against him and challenged Lord Loss with a bet, if they won Lord Loss would cure the cursed son/daughter if they lost there souls and body would be for Lord Loss to feed on and torture as he pleases, unfortunately for “Grubss” his family lost, leaving him alone with his uncle “Dervish” who has dedicated his life to the “Demon World”.
