"The Lost boy" is about a boy named David Pelzer , and how he struggled in life with his abusive mother. This story tells how David struggled to find a foster home and one to stay in. He was also in search of finding the love of his mother.his father was a firefighter , but he got asked to retire early because of his drinking problem. David wanted to help him, he wanted to help so many people. He was a good kid but he got him self into a lot of trouble over the years and was moved from place to place but he overcame his naive self and became a smart young man. This story reached out to me because many young kids don't really appreciate what they have till its gone. David Pelzer didnt have a the love of his mother and suffered so much. I recommend this book to students because its very interesting and its very touching. I read this book in 1 week, thats how interested i was.

This is the second book of the life of David Pelzer. In this book David finally gets away from his mom and gets put into the foster care system. David goes to different foster homes were he meets a lot of different foster kids just like him. This place is like a second chance for David to start a new life away from his mom and the violence/ cruel punishments he would get at home. Even though David was away from his mom, she still tired to send David to a mental house and trying to prove that the punishments she gave him were for his own good. In this book you are going to see David go through a lot of challenges that he must face, also in the book you are going to see David grow up from a little 13 year old into an 18 year old man.
